I want you and siteservers to know how much I appreciate the time you spent explaining the services provided by your company. Your presentation was thorough and positive. Further, once I had decided to use Siteserver to host my Web page, your willingness to continue to answer my questions (too numerous to mention!), walk me through the submission forms, was kind, generous, and helpful. Kudos to your working style.......and acknowledgement for your patience.

DNS Information

For sites transferring to Siteserver, please update your domain to the following nameservers:

dns1.siteserver.net (69.36.64.10)
dns2.siteserver.net (69.36.64.11)

Please note that once your changes are saved, it may take 24- 48 hours for your nameserver changes to be updated across the Internet. You can test this by checking your domain name through your internet browser or by sending Email to an account that is configured on our network.

What is DNS?
DNS (Domain Name System) is a system that translates a domain name from letters (www.siteserver.com) into a numerical IP address (69.36.64.15).

Each time you register a domain name you must specify your DNS information. If you register a domain name through Siteserver you can use our DNS information free of charge. This is known in the industry as "parking" a domain.

Parking your domain name is free using Siteserver's servers. By default all new .COM, .NET, .US, .ORG, .BIZ, .INFO domains registered with us are parked for free on our servers. You can change the DNS, ownership, or any other information related to your domain at any time, free of charge.

Why would I need to change my DNS information?
If you have a new web site or email account, Siteserver requires you to change your DNS information -- we would become your new DNS host -- so that your domain name can point to your web site and your email account can be setup.

How long does it take for DNS changes to take effect?
Typically, the DNS changes will be completed in about 24 to 48 hours. This is standard Internet propagation time. The central registry databases update automatically, upon your submission of new information.
